AREAS OF INTEREST
My research focuses on the systematics, ecology, and blood-meal identification of biting midges in the genus Culicoides (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae). These small flies are of medical and veterinary importance because of the parasites and pathogens they transmit to vertebrate hosts. Other areas of interests include the systematics, ecology, parasite and disease transmission, and host identification for other genera of Ceratopogonidae and families of hematophagous Diptera.

EDUCATION
B.S. (2005) Combined Biology and Chemistry. Illinois College, Jacksonville, IL
