These minute pests may be yellow, green, or red with a small dark spot on each side of the body.
The green round eggs are found on the underside of the leaf with the immature (6- legged) nymphs and the mature (8-legged) adults. With a life cycle of 11 days, there may be 17 generations per year. The adults feed on green plants during the winter.
Vetch, rabbit clover, evening primrose, ragged robin, and some 200 other plants support mite populations.
