Clemson University Entomology Club

THANK YOU to the Entomology Club!
On February 26, the Clemson University Entomology Society (Entomology Club), as part of their K-12 public school outreach program, donated a variety of resources to the Tillman Hall Media Center in an effort to show future teachers in Clemson's Education Department how insects can be easily incorporated into the standards and into the classroom.  These resources include reference books for budding entomologists (teachers and students alike), insect lesson plans, insect activities, and online insect resources.  If you or your organization would like to follow the precedent set by the Entomology Club, please contact the Tillman Hall Media Center to find out how you can help contribute to the education of our future teachers and our children.

The Clemson University Entomology Society (Entomology Club) is open to anyone in the Clemson community who has an interest in insects. Full-time students make up the core membership, but faculty and staff also participate in Entomology Club events.

The Entomology Club sponsors student travel to scientific meetings and sends teams to both the Linnaean Competition at branch and national meetings of the Entomological Society of America (ESA) and to the ESA graduate student debates. Club members participate in Extension and community service projects, including honey bottling and sales, and public school outreach.

Each semester, the Entomology Club sponsors an invited speaker for the departmental seminar series. The club also organizes social events for the department, such as an annual spring barbecue picnic.
