Biota of South Carolina

The Biota of South Carolina publication series, initiated in 2000, is intended to make our state's plants and animals better known and to enhance appreciation for the biological diversity that our state offers. Publications in the series not only allow advanced amateurs to identify specimens in a particular taxonomic group but also contain enough technical information to interest specialists. Each treatment of a taxonomic group features identification keys and illustrations. Although the first three publications deal with insects, Clemson University Public Service Publishing looks forward to disseminating information on other groups of organisms found in South Carolina.
