Shortly after the turn of the century, fumigants were used extensively to control clothes moths and carpet beetles. This man has covered his upholstered furniture with a rubberized bag and is pouring a fumigant into a built-in valve. The method of control was awkward and did not give lasting protection against further insect damage.
