100 Years of Achievements in
Insect Control

A History in Pictures from USDA

Saucers were part of the paraphernalia used in home fumigation of clothes in 1920. Clothes were placed in a trunk. Then the saucers, filled with a fumigant, were placed on top of the clothes and the trunk was sealed. The liquids evaporated, forming a gas that killed clothes moths and other insects in the clothes.
