Certified Crop Advisors (CCA) may now receive
Pesticide Applicator Exam Equivalency

The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has evaluated the CCA program and believes it is sufficient to meet or exceed the competency standards required by the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act for certain categories of pesticide applicators. Therefore, anyone who is a CCA in good standing is qualified to receive a pesticide license in the areas listed below without taking the otherwise required competency examinations. The areas are:
  1. Private Applicator
  2. Pesticide Dealer
  3. Commercial Applicator in:
    1. Category 1 Agricultural Pest Control
    2. Category 3 Ornamental & Turf Pest Control
    3. Category 10 Demonstration & Research Pest Control

NOTE: ONLY the exam is waived. All other requirements must be met including completing the application forms, paying the fee and for commercial applicators, obtaining the required insurance.
