The Master Pest Control Technician (MPCT) course was created for the general pest control technician, sanitarian, and in-house pest control professional for schools, industrial sites, and residences.

The MPCT Course is an intensive 1-week course at Clemson University. The course is designed to provide detailed, practical instruction about general pest management for pest management professionals.

Private, modern dorm rooms with semi-private bathrooms will be provided on campus for each participant. Lecture and lab sessions will be held near the dorms. Dinner the first night and break items will be provided. Campus dining facilities and restaurants in the nearby town will offer a wide variety of reasonably-priced meals.

The MPCT course provides face-to-face lectures and hands-on laboratory exercises including insect identification, insect collecting, introduction to application technology and inspection procedures.

To pass the MPCT course, students must earn a 70% or higher on homework assignments and tests. Graded work will have a practical emphasis. Pass or fail, all participants who attend the entire program will receive recertification credits.

In April, registration materials are mailed to pest control companies in South Carolina. Registration is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
